JP just called this one of the ugliest outings of the season. And he's the upbeat one.

And now Jeff Bennett's warming up. It's Pitching Showcase Night. Lord-a-mitey, I can't even think of a cliche that expresses what I've felt these last two games.

Bad. Yuck. Boo.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I know it's sacreligious to watch WGN, but Uecker's on the air in the 7th and singing the stretch tonight. Root, root, root, for the Brewers!!

Yeah for rain delays. Too bad they couldn't have done this before Matt Wise had to pitch in a downpour and Lyle Overbay had to almost break his ankle in the batter's box mud.

Hopefully, this is low point in the season.

Sorry ja002h, I was listening to the game tonight and heard them talking about Ueck going over to WGN's booth. I had inside info.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

stkmtimo- He gets one game every year when he sings "Take Me Out" and he always says "Root for the Brewers". Cub fans used to hate it, but now they "get it". And that is the last nice thing I'll EVER say about a Cub fan.

Game on again at 10:33 CDT.

Burba is on the mound, Durrington is playing third, and Branyan moves over to first.

Hopefully Overbay isn't hurt... he nearly fell coming out of the batter's box before the rain delay.

I'm glad they finally get it. Ueck is a class act...it's hard to say that about some of the Cubs fans...

I watched the Cubs jump all over Capuano and it's gotten to the point where I don't feel anything anymore about this collection of band aids and stopgaps. There's no magic button Yost can push, there's no single roster move that Melvin can make that will turn this around, they're just a bad team headed for another high draft pick.

I hope Overbay is o.k. I hope Sheets, Davis and Adams finish the year strong. I hope Bill Hall eventually learns to take a walk. Quite frankly, I don't expect anyone else on the current roster to have any sort of role on the next good Brewers team. My emotional investment in this group is just about done, at least until next season.
