Padilla vs. Santos, should be an interesting one. Will Santos continue to struggle at night and in the 2nd half of the year? Will Padilla beat the Crew as he failed to do his last time against us? Should be fun...let's score some runs.

Ned has already used the "we suck, so we might as well make this entertaining, and have everyon steal bases every time we're on base" Davey Lopes tactic.

Why didn't Ned let Durrington pitch a couple in the last few blowouts?

More weirdness from Nedley, straight up.

Bill and Daron just went on and on about how Citizen's Bank is such a hitter's park. It seems like everyone agrees, but the numbers indicate a much more neutral environment. According to ESPN.com's Park Factor stats, it ranks 9th in runs (just ahead of SBC and Miller Park and just behind the Metrodome), 4th in homers (ahead of Skydome and behind Wrigley), and 14th in hits (behind PNC and ahead of Shea).

If you convert the rankings to the standardized format where 1000 is neutral, those ranks are 1050, 1231, and 990. So basically, the park gives up home runs at about the same rate it takes away hits, and is therefore a relatively neutral hitting environment.

The sample size is still small, and the numbers will be much more reliable after two or three seasons, but CBP isn't in the same class as Coors and Arlington. It's kind of weird that it's gotten that reputation already.

Somebody wake up Maddux and tell him to remind Yost that there is a new kid in the bullpen that might need some work. Down 5-0 with no chance of coming back (with the way we hit) and you bring in Bennett! Why? Why not see what Liriano can do. I can't think of a more perfect opportunity.

That was quite the pathetic inning. I feel bad for Victor, 'cause he was really pitching well, but you just *can't* walk Padilla in any situation, much less that one.

I agree with LV, too... perfect time to get Pedro The Lion a few innings.
