Milwaukee (Santos) vs. Cincinnati (Hudson)

Yost is really starting to anger me. As I said in last night's thread, I wouldn't mind seeing him lose his job.

Watching this one on MLB.com -- because no network in either Cincinnati or Milwaukee is doing the actual broadcast, MLB.com (and the Reds' cameramen and producers, I imagine) provide the video feed, including instant replay. The only difference is the video includes no graphics. It's actually nice to watch the game on a full screen without all the clutter, like it used to be. Imagine letting the announcers (Ueck and Powell, in my case) letting you know the count. And yes, there is life without pitch speed.

Hmm. Couple things:

1> No Krynzel. Yost had indicated he would start either last night or tonight, or at least that's how Bill and Daron characterized it, so it is unfortunate that this isn't happening. Like I said last night, I don't understand why so much importance is being placed on not finishing last. Sure, that would be nice... but I don't think it should trump other goals (like getting playing time for players who the organization needs to evaluate for next year).

2> Hall second. Why? It really doesn't make any sense at all, and while it isn't that important in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't speak well to the competency of the field manager.

3> No Magruder. He's gotten only one start this month, a lot less than the two or three times a week Yost had slotted him for. Why?

EDIT: Interesting, MB. I saw that the game wasn't being televised and was wondering how MLB.tv was going to broadcast it. Sounds cool... I might buy a day pass and watch it tomorrow - depends on how this one turns out, I guess. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Considering we're losing 8-0, wouldn't this be a fine time to give David Krynzel and Chris Magruder a few innings in the outfield and a couple of at-bats? Do Podsednik, Jenkins, and Clark have to play the whole game?

Boo.

Sounds like it's been bothering Krynzel for a while, but once again Yost had a reason for his "decision" that brewerfan.net users second-guessed.

And I'm not sold on Santos, but it'll be interesting to hear if it's that fingernail problem again

I'm kind of trapped in the den here at home, with others, including nieces and such, sleeping over and scattered throughout the house. So I stuck it out by default.

But certainly Bob and Jim joked about the number of folks who might be listening in the late innings of this 9-0 debacle.

So between weekend fun alternatives, college football, etc. -- any guesses?

Across that Brewers radio network, how many folks do you think were tuned in to the very end? Anybody know how many listeners for a "normal" game, let's say in midseason?

I'll guess 3,000 of us diehards for tonight's late innings...
