09/17/2004 - Brewers (Sheets) at Astros (Oswalt)

gypcasino

JP just mentioned that Jon Greenberg told he and Ueck that Oswalt might have pulled his groin again. If that's true, it will be a huge blow to the Astros' playoff chances.

Any of you that are listening to the Houston feed: have they said anything?

Lidge is in for a two-inning save. Dude is nasty.

EDIT: I guess Oswalt has "an aggravated left rib cage". Greenberg = wrong.

EDIT AGAIN: Yep, Lidge is nasty. That was painful.

Ben Sheets, zero BB, nine K, under .500 once again.

Let's see, Ben's home is a hop, skip, and jump away from Houston.

Drayton McLane, meet your Opening Day Pitcher, 2007.

Sorry to be so cynical, tonight was a breaking point for me with this team and season.

Excuse me while I find better things to do, like throw up in my mouth.

Mass, as I said early in this thread, I'm glad we don't have Lamb for his defense. He didn't impress me at all...I'll take Russell over him for sure.

As for Sheets, great game. But the difference is we were in a huge offensive park, and one pitcher had a GO:FO of around 3 or 4, the other at around .25. Guess which guy won the game?
