09/18/2004 - Brewers (Glover) at Astros (Munro)

Sheets vs. Oswalt, Glover vs. Munro. We sure are blessed with some incredible pitching matchups this series... I'm not sure which one is more compelling - I gotta give the nod to Gary versus Pete, though, I think. I mean, it's Glover versus Munro!

No local TV again. Go team.

I wonder if Dave Krynzel is healthy, yet. I doubt he'd play anyway, 'cause that would seriously jeopardize the integrity of the playoff race.

Watching on MLB.com...

Gary Bennett is the slowest human being on earth!

Bases loaded, one out in the first, nothing!

A gift error in the second, Bennett out at home. You'd have to see him chugging to believe it -- Ueck is in utter disbelief.

This is Bad News Bears sad...

Wow, so quiet for a very "happening" top and bottom of the fifth inning.

That's what's sad, is we'd probably have a true game thread and some chat room action if / when the team was in contention.

Can't blame folks for finding other things to do on a Saturday night....

That was an incredible collision at the plate with Pods -- Ausmus really looks like he could have a concussion, I'd be shocked if he remains in the game.

Has Rich Donnelly had more men thrown out at home in September than he had the rest of the year prior?

I'm pretty sure Mass. I never had thought of Bonds, Berkman, or Beltran as having great arms. Still, besides the finish of last night's game, the rest were out because of perfect throws. When you can't score runs, you need to take some chances

This has been another pretty sweet game... great series, so far, at least in terms of enjoyability.

How does it impact the integrity of the playoff race when we take out both of the Astros' catchers on successive days? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

EDIT: Beat me to the punch on the enjoyability factor, MB. It has been fun, though, hasn't it? Now if we could just inch out a win...

Lil' Ben is going to start one of the games against St. Louis, as is De La Rosa.

And agreed re: the game thread... I wonder what percentage of the WTMJ/radio network audience is currently on brewerfan? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
