Cirillo is looking pretty impressive, too.

And if he can play the outfield, second, and first in addition to third, I think he's a good option as a utility guy with Magruder.

The bench could look like:

Moeller C

Hall SS/2B/3B

Cirillo 3B/2B/1B/OF

Magruder LF/RF/CF

Helms 3B/1B

It would be good to let Krynzel spend some more time at Nashville. Use Magruder as the backup CF.

Magruder LF/RF/CF

I really am sick of Magruder. He looked poor in his stint in Milwaukee last year. Then on Friday he made two errors that accounted for 6-7 of Oakland's 8 runs. Not saying he's terrible, but say he's look aweful whenever I've seen him play. On a side note, he did have two nice hits on Friday, but no way you can overlook the mistakes defensively

Why to heck with him starting? He's thrown like 15 MLB innings and he's failed already?

EDIT: This guy in an e-mail asks if Hall will hit .280 or .290.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif

I think he's best for the pen for this year. Figure that as of now it's likely our 3-4-5 are some combination of Capuano, Hendrickson, and Santos.

Santos likely won't be back in 2006. One of the others could flop, and then there's Capellan, Sarfate, Housman, Parra, Eveland, etc who could all be ready for a back of the rotation or bullpen spot in 2006.

I'm not too high on Magruder either. He seems to be a liability in the field and IMO, is a AAAA player who is maybe a slight step up offensively compared to a Durrington.

JDLR pitch total is just a little high..in that inning, it sounded like he had 3 balls on each of the 4 hitters he faced. Also he only has 2 solid pitches. Most starters have a 3rd pitch that they can rely on. I would rather see him out of the pen as the lefty specialist.
