3/10/05 - Royals @ Brewers (Sheets), 2:00 CT, plus...

MassBrew

OK, the game link, which apparently will again require a subscription, is here:

mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/ml...d=20050310

MLB.com, after a shaky start, has become a big money-maker for MLB, and its revenues are shared equally. I imagine some honcho didn't appreciate the Brewer portion of spring training audio being free, despite the initial efforts of the Brewers to make it so.

I believe the following extras are free for your pre-game needs, as Big Ben gets his first ST inning under his belt --

Watch the archive at 9:00 AM Central Thursday of this Reds - Brewers game:

April 27, 2004: Chad Moeller hit for the cycle, but it was Bill Hall's pinch-hit, walk-off home run in the ninth that saved the day for Milwaukee.

Also, Doug Melvin has a lengthy MLB.radio interview archived, and I'll comment on one of the more interesting aspects over on the Minor League Forum after this post. Look in the "Sights and Sounds" portion of this link:

Hey all. I'm back from a brief excursion and as a audio subscriber would be happy to do a running box within a single post...

According to the JS, "Sheets is scheduled to throw one inning or 25 pitches and will be followed to the mound by Wes Obermueller, Brooks Kieschnick, Andy Pratt, Jeff Housman and Rigo Beltran."

I'm not understanding the "not free" part. I was a subscriber last year but not so far this year. I've been able to listen to all the games so far including non-brewer games as long as I log in with the same name/password as last year.

If I were you, I'd check my credit card statement. Online subscription services have a habit of automatically renewing your subscription when it runs out. It probably charged your credit card the first time you went to log in this season.

Coop, I think the expiry date for your last year's subscription is 03/31/05 (or something like that), so you'll have access to audio until then.

Yeah, someone confirmed that in the game thread yesterday.

I hope I am not the first, but thank you so much, it is hard to be able to catch the game on the radio when you are working all day, but to read while you go just makes the day so much sweeter. Thank you SBS for your offer. I look forward to a fun day and a 6-3 record....

GO BREWERS!

anyone know krynzel's stats on the spring training? and his compared to brady's. It looks like Dave is headed to AAA but i was just wondering.

Clark has been tearing it up, Krynzel not so much.

edit: nevermind, 3/11 ain't that horrible.
