Good talk about Sheet's Contract.

Ash mentioned that ideally pitchers get 3 year contracts. However, with market changes the Brewers are shooting for a 4 year deal (3 additional). Options were also mentioned.

To me, the most impressive things about the outing are Adams and De La Rosa's outings. Adams outings are proving that he can probably do at least an adequate job of closing (which should only get better over time)... and perhaps Jorge is feeling more comfortable in a relief role, maybe a long relief role which ultimately he can be stretched out and turned into a starter from.

Of course, these observations come from just after a handful of innings http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Wise was specifically mentioned as having a good outing his last time out, and he did well by himself again today. Unless he blows up, it is hard for me to see him not on the roster. JDLR has to be the highlight of the game, with two impressive performances in a row now.

And hey, maybe we shouldn't all write off Glover just yet. That Maddux guy works magic.

exactly Toby. Also, gotta figure De La Rosa is on the attack. When I saw him last Friday, I liked his stuff and his delivery, but he appeared to nibble. With good stuff he should be saying "here it is, let's see you hit it"

Having Gord Ash on-air for a full game is definitely cool, otherwise I'd be less tempted to be listening in to the archive right now -- I'm in the sixth, and wanted to hear the de la Rosa innings in particular.

The thing about Daron's call-out to Brewerfan.net was that Mike Matheny grounded a base hit down the line about two seconds after the comment. The inning ended a pitch or two later, otherwise it might have been interesting to see if Sutton and Ash might have morphed into a bit of discussion about an extra-rabid fan base this spring, including Brewerfan.

I'm in Phoenix right now and saw Sutton waiting to board the same Midwest plane I had just left. Didn't have a chance to talk to him though.
