I know pogo said last week he'd be there today, and I'll be there today if the rains hold off. On one hand I'm disappointed I keep seeing Santos and Hendrickson, but at the same time it's nice because these are the 2 guys that most were weary of entering spring training. Last time I was there, Santos did alright. Didn't look great, but got the job done.

Rather than wait for the game to start, I'll just go ahead and say it now so I don't have to type it in later.

Helling stinks.

Well, I do believe you can start counting the days until that phrase will be a distant memory in the Brewerfan world, along with classics like "Trent Durrington is useless" and "Chris Magruder deserves a spot."

Anybody watching the Cubs/Diamondbacks on ESPN2? Steve Stone and Rick Sutcliffe are doing color but the play-by-play man is awesome and I can't figure out who it is. He and Stone would make a wonderful team... Sutcliffe I can't stand, but 2-out-of-3 ain't bad.

Anybody know who the PBP guy is?

Guys I think I can do a running box score for awhile anyway.

Garland still pitching for the sox..not sure what inning yet.. just started listening 2 down...

helms....HBP

Hall...1-3 liner off the pitcher

Moeller...3 unassited

0-0 yet

Top of 3rd ......Santo's still pitching

Widger....2b to the corner

Crede...1b to right....Widger to 3rd. Crede advances on bad throw by Jenks.

Aguchi(batting for garland)...2b to corner in left....2 runs score

Posednik...3 unassisted...runner advances

Harris...1b to left passed helms....another run in..3-0 sox not an error on helms...sutton said even if he's back he doesn't make the play.

Konerko...2b to left field corner.....runner holds at 3rd...wow Santo's is getting lit this inning.

Dye....2b to right center....5-0 sox.

Rowan...1b...blooper over spivey....6-0 sox only 1 down...9 hits already by the sox.

Uribe... 2 run jack to center....8-0 sox....Santo's is gone....Del La Rosa coming in.

Didn't get the first batter by Delo....grounder to Helms..2 down

second batter....2b to center.

3rd batter....F5

Bottom of 3rd

Del La Rosa...5-3

Clark... 2b to center.....Pods tried to dive, and missed it...Ummm sound familiar.

Spivey...K

Fielder...BB

Lee...BoooYahhh.....3 run jack to deep center by Lee.....8-3 sox

Jenks... K

Hey guys....sorry but I gotta run.....hopefully someone else can pick it up from here.

Better than Miller talking about how Kolb going from the Brewers to the Braves will now, just like Pedro, need to learn about hitters in the NL?

Haha, yeah... the worst part about that incident was that neither of the other two commentators said anything and one of them agreed with him.

I really want to know who this is... argh. He's good.

Make it three straight for me... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

The question about Matt Wise and de la Rosa seeming to be out of the running for the rotation was mine. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Madtown,

For whatever reason my computer does not allow me to edit posts??? I will update periodically what is going on, but it will not be a running box score. You will have to scroll ahead to get the updates. Sorry, but for whatever reason I can't edit posts. Sorry for the inability to edit, but this is better than nothing

Top 1st

Pods - Triple

Harris - F7 (Pods out at home trying to tag up on Caballo)

Konerko - Line out to Hall. Great play diving to his left to rob a basehit

Bottom 1st

Clark - Out Can't remember how

Spivey- K

Prince - BB

Lee - K

Top 2nd

Dye - 5-3

Rowand - F7

Uribe - Single

Widger (Uribe out trying to steal second)

Bottom of 2nd

Jenks - U 3

Helms - HBP

Hall - Line out off of pitcher (Helms to 2nd)

Moeller - Out (don't remember how)

Top of 3rd

Widger - Double

Crede - Single to right advances to second on poor throw by Jenks (men on 2nd and 3rd)

Iguchi - Double (2-0 Sox)

Pods - Sac Bunt (Iguchi to 3rd)

Harris - Single to left (3-0 Sox)

Konerko - Double to left (2nd and 3rd) Santos' location on his pitches is absolutely terrible.

Dye - Double to rightcenter (5-0 Soxs)

Rowand - Single to Rightcenter (6-0 Soxs)

Uribe - Homerun (8-0 Sox)

Pitching change, I think De La Rosa is coming in but not sure

The guy doing the PBP in the Cubs D'Backs game is John Sciambi

and this from an article I found:

And lift a glass to Boston College grad John "Boog" Sciambi, who just landed a gig on ESPN to broadcast 30 games on Monday and Wednesday nights, while also doing his own show on ESPN Radio in Miami. Sciambi, 34, began his career as a play-by-play man for the independent Boise Hawks, and had been with the Marlins the last eight seasons.

I would hope this awful outing can be attributed to the proverbial "dead arm period" common in spring training.

Then again, the times in 2004 when Santos didn't have it, he really got rocked. That he's the nominal number 3 starter has to be a concern. He's now allowed 14 earned runs in 11 spring innings. Not good.

Wheel and LV, thanks for your updates. Although I certainly don't like the 8-0 hole that Victor has given us. Anybody else getting a tad concerned with Victor in the #3 hole this year. Also, I'm getting a little concerned with our now 5-12 record this spring since starting off 5-0. I hope we can get hot the last week of spring and carry that over into the regular season.
