Here's hoping Capuano missed a "bunt" sign on that one. There isn't a pitcher on this team (except for maybe Obie) that you call a hit-and-run with.

How is that a good idea? Miller is slow and attempting to steal third, there's a left-handed hitter up, and he's bad. I hope that was a missed sign and not Nedley's idea 'cause that was one of the dumbest plays I've seen for quite some time.

I didn't like that call at all. Why not bunt miller and jj over and let a real hitter have a chance at 2 rbis. That was just stupid.

The only guy that missed the sign was Yost. Wood's pitch count is going up, he can't throw a strike, we have a pitcher batting, a C on second....let's hit and run? I can't believe it.

EDIT: And that new WGN camera angle is quite possibly the coolest thing ever. The view on Wood's bunt was perfect... you could see the whole play develop. Mad props to WGN - I hope ESPN et. al. copy this and it becomes a staple of baseball on TV.

 

EDIT2: Len Kasper is a phenomenal announcer. Brenly I'm undecided about.
