JJ Hardy is going to shatter the record for most ground outs 6-3. He never k's so he should be able to pad the 6-3 stat like crazy.

I wonder how bad our shortstops have to suck before bill hall gets a legit shot. Clayton, Councell and Hardy all have gotten the nod over Billy. I am not so sure about letting Hardy go up there swinging like all he wants to do is tap it out there.

If I hear Sutton say that Yost told JJ "dont worry about your offense, just focus on defense" one more time...I will join Jenkins in his puke fest. It makes NO sense. JJ KNOWS he can field like a pro. Everyone has been saying he is mlb caliber and has been for 2 years in the minors defensivly. What he can't do is HIT. Why would Yost NOT want him to focus on hitting when defense is something he doesnt really need to focus on in order to do well?

this is going to be a frustrating year. AGAIN.

Boy I have to disagree with you. Hardy has been great this year, I don't care how mediocre his hitting as been. The one game I've seen Hall start he blew 3 or posibly 4 plays, JJ's defense has been great, his plate discipline has been great and eventually the hitting will come. If Ned started Hall over Hardy on a regular basis I'd finally be certain he's a bad manager.

Boy, Carlos Lee sure gave that one a good effort. NOT.

What is going on? This team is playing like it's September 16th and we're 30 games back, not April 16th and we're in first place.

How 'bout some of that highly-touted motivatin', Nedley?

I sat through a few games like this at the ballpark last year, seems whenever i went the team was lucky to score one run. It's a complete yawner sitting in the park, nothing to do except buy more five dollar beers to keep you from falling asleep.
