Looks like Wayne Franklin is now going through the Glendon Rusch syndrome.

 

7-0 already. Four HRs for Atlanta, and even all the outs are being hit hard to the warning track.

 

And it's only been three innings so far.

What is with Wes Helms? Why isn't he starting?

Not that it will affect the outcome of the game, but bad baserunning is killing us. I can't believe the Brewers third base coach sent Osik home to score with nobody out and the bases potentially loaded.

 

Osik was out by a mile.

Osik's been thrown out at home a good number of time this year...and it seems like we're getting guys thrown out at 3rd to end the innings pretty often as well. By now they should play it safe with guys like VDW, Osik, Sexson, Perez, and anyone else that seems to slow down as theyre rounding second or third.

I'd have walked right out to the 3B box, pointed to the dugout, and told him to just keep walking. Down 8, and sending a runner home with no one out?

When is the last time Kinney and Franklin have made quality starts the same time through the rotation? Why are Brewer starting pitchers so frustratingly inconsistent?

Clayton's average is up to .220 now. 4 hits, despite plenty of opportunities to ground into double plays. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

 

Also, I noticed that Manning was warming up in the bullpen in the 9th inning. When is his next scheduled start?
