This might be a bit pre-mature, but I'm starting to think that Steve is the new David Krynzel. That is, he's got some speed, some power, can draw a few walks, and plays good defense. Over periods of time he can be fantastic offensively, but seems to settle in the .250-270 range.

 

I don't mean that as a knock on him, as I've always felt Krynzel can be a solid 5th OF. But would others think my comparison is fair?

I don't think you are premature (but I wish you were). I posted in the Power 50 thread a couple of days ago, that maybe it's time he falls off the 50. This guy has tools on top of tools and we're all pulling for him, but it seems as though the next step seems just a bit out of his reach. I wonder if we should talk about Brad Nelson too? Guys we've been rooting for, for a long time. Bummer.
