And the beat goes on.... The Brewers try to make it 8 in a row against the Reds tonight.

Doug Davis tries to claim a spot in the 2004 rotation as he tries to make it 3 quality starts in a row. Doug scattered 7 hits in his last outing vs. Philadelphia, and gave up 2 runs (1 earned) in 5.2 innings.

Journeyman Dan Serafini makes his Cinci debut tonight. He hasn't pitched in the majors since the 2000 season with Pittsburgh and San Diego. Serafini was released by the St. Louis organization after posting a 9.00 ERA in 8 innings pitched for AAA Memphis. He then went to Monterrey of the Mexican League, and went 10-2 with a 1.59 ERA in 96.1 innings.

Wow we should have it easy tonight either we pound him or he shuts us down. That is usually how it goes for pitchers we havent seen. Ahhhh..... Dejeans 8 blown saves.........if only he saved those games we would be that much closer to respect and contention. Not to mention the extra starts Rusch has gotten after we knew he should have been sent down or away.

well gbc, I'm sure if you look back at every Brewer loss, there's one or 2 things you could have done differently instead and you would have won the game. But in the real world you can't go back and change things based on hindsight. I'm sure every other team could also go back and make changes for the games against the Brewers and we'd end up losing every game. Gee, if we only hadn't drafted Kenny Felder and Antone Williamson.

Does anyone know how to start a movement to get him rookie of the year honors, ala Jenks for all-star team?

Can't the brewers press department start plastering his name all over the stadium or start giving out his card to the incoming media?

I believe teams actually do this on behalf of their players by sending videos to voters, etc. I would guess the new Brewer management would be more effective than previous regimes in this regard.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
