Between Kenny Rogers yesterday and Rick Reed today, I am so sick of all these off-speed junk balls. Something tells me that the Brewers will not be seeing any good fastballs all day.

Ron Gardenhire just got tossed and then he looked to be pretty mad. Watching him yell and scream and get so animated I thought he looked like the old wrestler Arn Anderson, anyone remember that guy??

Great slide indeed by Pods, as for Matt Ford's start

3 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 SO, 62 pitches, 38 strikes

He "battled" http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif , while it wasn't a flashy start, if every starter's could have an ERA of 3.00 during their starts...I think it was Osik that called for a high fastball to Kielty and Fod's mid-high 80's fastball either wasn't fast enough or wasn't high enough and Kielty hammered it...Ford's expression after the pitch said it all, whether it was Osik's fault for calling for the high fastball or Ford's for not putting it up high enough remains to be seen.

A promising start...Kolb with 2 scoreless innings backing up Ford, 3 more innings of relief left...

Charles,

I agree Matty was by no means pitching great but he got off teh hook and that ERA would actually be 3.00 and I would take that from everyone. Kolb strong indeed and is in position to pick up the win right now! How's about Three straight series wins against above .500 ball clubs!

I'm not going to insinuate a trade with the Twins as my thoughts are completely unsubstantiated, but what is the availability of a team acquiring Johan Santana? His stuff is/was nasty today... If he's capable of starting games, I would think he's going to waste in the bullpen. I know that Aaron's Baseball Blog seems to feel the same way.

Johan Santana...any thoughts?

Don't expect the Twins to be looking to trade Santana anytime soon. He has started out of necessity this year a few times and I think when the time comes that they need to, they will. For now, Gardenhire loves to bring him out of the bullpen.

That's what I hear.
