07/06 - Rockies (Stark) @ Brewers (Sheets)

I decided that the In Game Thread needed to get its first poist...1-0 Rockies going into the bottom of the 3rd...i think we might be in for another close game. Cruz needs more ABs...lets say Cruz will carry a batting average of .150 this year...sadly that's not THAT far below Royce Claytons.

Helms takes one to the warning track, I think Wes is seeing the ball, Podzilla reaches base for his 36th consecutive game with a basehit to left...

I know its nothing very special as far as the majors goes...but getting on base in 36 straight contest is exactly what Ned Yost's philosophy encourages.

For the Brewers in recent years...I think 36 straight games on base is uncharted waters. I may be wrong, but Podsednik has things figured out of how a player can succeed at the plate in major league baseball.

I'm glad to see Enrique getting a start, but couldn't he have played for Burba or something. When Sheets is out there we have the best chance of winning. This team needs to put all their eggs in one basket so they can attempt to win one game in this series.

I guess all DJ needed to start pitching well again was a haircut.

Seriously- has anyone else noticed that seemingly anytime DJ struggles, he shaves off the goatee and gets back into a groove? Creepy...

Avoiding the score all day and evening, I click on mlb.com's archive tonight and listen away.

As the bottom of the 7th begins (the key inning, I find out later), the WTMJ feed goes silent until DeJean's entrance in the bottom of the ninth.

I suppose I could have tried the Rockies feed, but sheesh.

Thanks for nothing, mlb.com!

I disagree here, the key to being a dominant closer is to have a dominant mullet. Look at Rod Beck, Doug Jones, and other great closers who had awesome Tennessee top hats. DeJean needs to grow himself a nasty Camaro Cut/Firebird Flap and he'll be right back on top of things for good.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
