Since we are playing in Pac Bell Park, and it has a VERY short right field, should Brooks be playing in left field for this series?

Considering how much ground there is to cover in left, I'd think it would be a mistake to use Brooks as anything other than a pinch hitter or pitcher in the series. Save him for a high leverage situation and let him hit for the SS or pitcher.

I think with that small area in right, and Brooks' arm that he'd be a much better fit in right than left. But yeah, that short porch makes it tempting to give Brooks a few ABs (as the primary PH) at least.

Not for all-or-nothing Kieschnick who'll either strike out or hit a towering flyball. Brooks was made for stadiums with short distances to the RF wall.
