According to the radio, Spivey threw the ball past Counsell into left field on a force play at second. It was hit slowly, so I'm not sure it was going to be a DP.

Alright, so Capuano just gave upa three run shot, guess what, it was to Albert Pujols, maybe the best hitter in the game

 

Im looking at the 5th inning half full

 

CC got behind and had runners on 2nd and 3rd (on an error by Hall) with one out. He went right at Jim Edmonds and struck him out.

 

Pujols was up and CC got ahead 0-2, maybe 1-2. Either way he had first base open and could have definatly wasted a few pitches. He chose not to, went right at him with a fast ball and just hung it high. Pujols, being the great hitter he is, capitolized on the play.

 

Scott Rolen, a very solid hitter, is up next and CC wastes no time going straight at him. Three strikes, hes out.

 

Hes a rookie, but if hes as confident as he was that inning for the whole season, he should put up solid numbers

They're calling all three runs earned. What bullcrap. None of `em were. If the force is made, and Edmonds Ks, inning OVER.

I hate the fact that his error gave new life to the Cardinals. He better do something with the bat to make up for it.
