LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - In the midst of a miserable slump at

home, the Los Angeles Dodgers turn to rookie D.J. Houlton on

Saturday in the third of four games with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Houlton (0-0, 7.41 ERA) has made 13 appearances out of the

bullpen but will start for the first time in place of Wilson

Alvarez, who was scratched due to shoulder tendinitis.

A 6-4 righthander, Houlton has a 1.29 ERA in five games at home

while posting an 11.70 mark in eight road outings.

The Dodgers may need Houlton to provide some quality innings if

their offense continues to struggle. In losing 10 of its last

13 at home, Los Angeles has scored more than five runs just

three times.

Victor Santos (2-4, 2.73) gets the nod for the Brewers, who

posted a 7-5 win over the Dodgers on Friday.

Santos tossed six scoreless innings in Milwaukee's 2-1 loss to

the San Diego Padres on Monday. He has yet to pitch in Dodger

Stadium but is 0-2 with a 15.88 ERA in two lifetime starts

against Los Angeles.

Carlos Lee slugged his ninth career grand slam and Bill Hall

added a three-run shot in Friday's win as the Brewers improved

to 2-3 on their current seven-game road trip.

Normally do not post in these game day threads...but had to login in after I heard D. Sutton. Did I hear him correctly after the first half inning? Did he say "So far, so good, Brewers go down in order in the first."???!!?!? So far, so good? Is he still a Dodger fan from his childhood days? What was up with that?
