Someone had to start a game thread. From ESPN.com's statpack:

Milwaukee (19-20) at Washington (22-18 ) , 1:05 pm EDTWASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Livan Hernandez will test his sore right knee on Thursday when the Washington Nationals host the Milwaukee Brewers in the rubber game of their three-game series.Hernandez (6-2) left his last start against the Chicago Cubs in the seventh inning due to an injured knee. He allowed two runs and five hits in 6 2/3 innings in a 4-3 victory.Hernandez has won his last five starts, allowing 11 earned runs in 37 1/3 innings over that span. The Brewers will turn to Victor Santos (1-3, 3.18 ) . The righthander allowed two runs and seven hits in four innings against Pittsburgh in his last outing. Santos is 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA in two career appearances against the Nationals. After collecting only three hits in Tuesday's 8-2 loss, the Nationals edged the Brewers, 1-0 on Wednesday. Jeffrey Hammonds' one-out single with the bases loaded in the ninth inning plated the game's only run.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006
