Chad Moeller lost the game for the Crew? No. You're delusional if that's your opinion.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

No, but it's painfully obvious that he has zero business playing as much as he has.

I don't care if he's Sheets' personal caddy or not, something has to give.

Jim Powell was saying on-air today about how Moeller's disappointed in how he's not helping out the team... if Chad really wants to help out the team, how about relinquishing the duty of Sheets' catcher?

Uh, I was at the game and wondered why the HUMAN RALLY KILLER Chad Moeller was not pich hit for in the 7th inning???http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

He SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There has got to be a better hitting back up out there somewhere. Hell, BJ Surhoff would be a better back up to Damian Miller than the worthless Moeller. UGH!!!!

Please Ned do not give Chad another start!!!!

Moeller has shown a propensity to hit in his career, but at this point I think he's too far gone from a mental perspective to get the ship righted. He needs a month or three in AAA to get his head right. I would not release him.

You know, the manic-depressive mood swings on this board are disturbing.

So is the fact that Chad Moeller still has a locker.

This is disturbing, too. From the Journal Sentinel:

Yost said Saturday he doesn't have a regular third baseman, shortstop or catcher.

Ouch.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

Can they do that with Moeller? Isn't he out of options? Is he at point in his career when he has to approve being sent down?

I don't know if Yost has much choice at this point. With a Saturday night/Sunday afternoon schedule, the backup is going to catch one of those. Likewise, with Miller coming down with a sore back and sore shoulder during the first two months, Moeller was their only option behind the plate.

I know some people think that even on those days in which Moeller starts he should be pinch hit for in critical situations. That makes good sense. Of course, that sort of defeats the purpose of giving Miller a day off to rest his sore 35 year old parts.

Besides, as someone noted, it's not like their record has been dramatically different with Moeller catching than with Miller.
