6/13/05 Brewers (Capuano) @ DRays (Waechter) 6:15 CST

I posted this in the "Pirate" thread as well...

FYI - just so people know, right now Tampa Bay fans are saying to themselves..."we'll get back on track when the Brewers come to town"...and they have every right to believe that since we are the only team to match them in pitifulness over the past 5 years.

I am sure someone is assuming a sweep, DRay fans are already considering themselves +3 in the win column. Yes, the Brewers really are the NL DRays...only with a longer history of losing.

Nothing in this series is a "gimmie"

Thanks for the info. But if you go to the TB fan forum, it's mostly whiny BREWER fans predicting a Devil Rays sweep.

Wow, a lineup with some pop and non-automatic outs . . . Faaaaaaantastic.

Yeah, Tampa Bay is pretty solid top to bottom. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I gotta say....

Ned Yost just doesn't use his freakin head. I mean, he has gaurenteed himself that at some point Jenkins and Fielder will face a lefty out of the pen. By simply putting the middle of the order as Lee, Jenks, Hall, Fielder, Hardy.....he would have stayed away from that scenario. I just don't get that strategy. Setting up for failure. I am excited that Prince and Weeks are playing but that lineup is stupid. Yost is creating a situation where Trevor Miller sends them home frustrated. That isn't good managing.

How does Fielder hit lefties?

Ned's banking on us being up 12-2.

Or he's creating a situation where he can get his boy Helms an AB later in the game. That's my real guess.

A more apt question would be "why aren't minor league split stats readily available?".

Good point. I don't think they exist.

I'm jacked for this one...I printed out a scorecard so I can follow along and keep a record of this game...Prince's debut and the first time all 3 of the stud prospects are playing together in the majors.

Let's go Crew!

Dang it Bill, can't you leave Prince alone about his dad? You sound like you're clueless about what's gone on over the last year! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
