One of the keys to this series will be keeping the top of the Cubs lineup off the bases....Dusty, being the idiot that he is, has continued with the Neifi Perez leadoff experience. Neifi has gone 6 for his last 51 with 1 walk.....

the Brewers have had good luck keeping Patterson down as well, and the big thing will be ensuring that Lee and Ramirez do not have many runners to knock in when they get their opportunities.

this is a huge series for the Brewers, and I could see the Keg being a very tense place this week, with all the Cub marauders filthifying the place.

I, unfortunately, can't make it to any of the games this week (stupid work http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif ), but a couple of my buddies are going tonight and asked me what I thought about this idea...

They, like me, are huge fans of the movie, "Animal House." W/Ohka on the mound tonite, they said they were going to dress up in togas and yell, "TO-MA, TO-MA, TO-MA!!" all game long. I know, they're morons but please humor me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'm praying that, should Ohka's performance deserve a post-game interview tonight, Coshun saves us from Bob Braindead.

That abomination of an interview was only last week and remains fresh in my mind.

Braindead: "TOMAAAH, incredible job. Weren't you unnerved out there (shoving mic in Tomo's face and making him feel all uncomfortable)

Despite Perez' slump, the heart of the Cub order has really been hot. Here's the June breakdown:

D. Lee .457/.500/.686

Ramirez .387/.433/.661

Burnitz .385/.444/.646

The pitching staff is going to have to be on its game and more importantly, the offense needs to score runs.

I really hope that the crowd will give a huge standing ovation tonight for both Weeks and Fielder. The future of the team is in those 2 guys hands. I know i will stand up and clap when Rickie Weeks bats tonight. hopefully everyone else will follow along

I think this is their 1st home game (of the season, anyway). That should be interesting. Of course, it's going to feel like a road game with all the Cub fans. Oh well... at least they'll appreciate how far we've come three years from now when Cub fans can't find a seat for less than $200 a pop.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I can't believe this. My friend just called and has an extra ticket for tonight's game in a luxury box and I can't go. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif I think I'm going to go to my room and cry now.

I'm assuming they are sending Hardy Down with Fielder at the end of the week. Probably bring up Erickson and take Branyan off the DL.

They sure have mishandled Hardy this year. Yuck. Melvin always to seem to have the big picture in mind, but I think he lost sight of it this year, with regards to Hardy.
