6/21/05 Cubs (Williams) @ Brewers (Santos) 7:05 CST

I have no idea why Butch Wnegar continues to wear a Brewers uniform.

I'm saying this now. Wynegar will not be Brewers hitting coach after the Cubs leave town.

Milwaukee needs a scapegoat and you are first in line. Nice knowing you Butch. Sorry it couldn't have worked out better, but something just isn't clicking . . .

Next up, Yost. But since he has Maddux protecting his butt, I'm guessing he's safe.

So I'm going to drive from Sturgeon Bay to Milwaukee tomm to see if i can make $10 scalping my ticket. I am then going to go to a bar and drink that money away and watch the Brewers. When they make some stupid mistake I will buy a shot and play darts.

That sounds alot better than listening to 35k Cubs fans cheer for the Cubs after another stupid Brewer's play.

So I typically agree with Al. But tonight he had a comment that made me want to laugh it was so ridiculous. Let's see, a pitcher gets a flyball that the OF misplays by turning the wrong way, misjudging its depth, and letting it clank off the heel of his glove. Yet it's not a 3-base error? What, a 2-base error and him going to 3rd on the throw?

Allow me to say that the 3 base error on Jenkins is quite likely the worst scoring call in the history of the sport. A ball hit over his head, Geoff races back and leaps up, only to have the ball go off his glove.

Whoever is scoring the game this evening should never be allowed to set foot in the press box again. What an ignorant buffoon.

I saw that scoring decision and got excited, as to me it was a rare instance of scorekeepers holding fielders accountable rather than punishing pitchers.

Yeh, well it looks like they reversed the call. While not an easy play it seems like a ML outfielder SHOULD make that play. I mean, anytime an outfielder jumps and tries to make a catch shoulder-hieght, you have to wonder about it.

I would have to think the magic # will be 10 games under 500

before Mark A tells melvin he needs to make a move with the coaching staff. But the 2 postives are we are 8 games under with 2 left with the cubs and hopefully Yost will also quit because the fire one of his coaches.

the good news the cubby fans should be out again hoping for a big game from Zambrano and lee

i saw this play in person, and jenkins misplayed the ball. he actually slowed down as he was about to catch it. i'd say 90% of RF's not named ben grieve make the play.
