We always seem stuck between 3-6 games below .500.

I am glad this team is more competitive than in previous years, but it would be nice to actually finish off some sweeps and make some real progress with the win-loss record. All these split series have left me a little frustrated. We haven't swept anyone in a long time and it's driving me nuts.

I thought Dana looked good tonight. Did not look that pudgy from where I was sitting. He is a big lefthander, but there is no problem with that unless his velocity falls to the low 80s. It is nice to finally start seeing a young pitcher come up and throw strikes (with the exception of Adams and perhaps Liriano)

So,

I was sitting in Miller Park tonight, having just met the charming young brewerrachel15 (who I'm sure will someday post here), when Bottalico came in. And I wondered a few things, before he even threw a pitch:

1) How many runs will he give up?

2) How long before I have to take one of my near-patented "Bottalico walks" around the ballpark? (They used to be DeJean and Vizcaino walks, and back in County Stadium were Mike Fetters walks.)

3) How many times will tonight's in-game thread include the word "blowtallico"?

I guess I'll be checking Brian's Bottalico thread to see what upside Ricky actually has. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

On the brighter side, it was fun to see Dana Eveland. Many fans joined in a standing ovation for him at the end of his first inning. Way to stay composed in front of a big crowd.

Now the Brewers are 4-1 since we moved. If they lose on Sunday, I'll begin to wonder if it's me.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
