7/16/05 Nats (Loiza) @ Crew (Cappy) 6:05 CST

brewermary15

My husband has gone nuts, so I'm doing the thread today. We will be at the game tonight, you can easily find us, Jamie will be the one in a fur coat hanging around the peanut vendors.

WAS: RHP Esteban Loaiza

? 5-5, 3.57 ERA in 2005

MIL: LHP Chris Capuano

? 10-6, 3.63 ERA in 2005

I feel good with Cappy on the mound, it improves our chances at three in a row. I just hope Jamie does not decide to run around on the field like a squirrel, this has become quite embarrassing.

Section 107, row 11, seats 3&4.

I totally agree with under and think Cappy has to watch his move, he did get caught last time around too if memory serves.

I unfortunately will not be attending since I have no ride to the game, but I think both pitchers give up a great deal of runs.

I would like to re-post something i had said to open this series...

Quote:
I'm not about to go predicting numbers.. you know.. 3-1 vs. nationals.. split with cards...

but i will say that this team is going to have a SOLID second have, with stretches of real good wins.. the easy kind.. Remember those? But mroe importantly, we will start winning those 1 run games and come back from defecits we are expected to come back from. That, my friends, is the definition of Battle!

Looks like they have been doing exactly as i had hoped, and i don't just bring that up because i am right (two games into the second half). I bring it up because I don't recall more than a SMALL handful of games in the entire first half that we had came back and.. well.. battled out a victory.

And it's not just a two game fluke, though.. we have been doing this since the last game of that cubs series it seems like. Hitting with two outs.. and most importantly, the bottom of the lineup carrying a little more of the load.. If Carlos has indeed busted out of his slump with that long ball, this will be a fun ride...

Four in a row, lets get another one today and clinch this series!

I'll be sitting up on the top of the world tonight (40http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif , but I'll be keeping score and yelling loud enough to be heard way down below. Go Crew!!

As others have said, the umps will be watching Cappy like a hawk tonight, but wouldn't it be awesome if he picked a few Nats off tonight just so we could watch Frank Robinson go ballistic?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

It's 93 in Madison as I write this - so Milwaukee had better be reaping the benefits of that lake effect.

Since we got these tickets separate from our package o' 20, we are still in 417 but moved from our usual spot - row 1 in the middle instead of row 5 on the aisle. I'll be staring at the railing but maybe the home team will give me reason to stand up and cheer.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Well, I have to say this should be a pretty good game. After last night's tough loss, the Nationals will be pretty ticked off and looking to do some damage.

I would not be surprised to see a scuffle tonight. I think it'll be an intense game.

-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

i'll be watching on mlb.tv today from new zealand. it will be 11 am on Sunday. and it is the middle of the winter. weird.

For some reason, I have had problems logging into Brewers vs. Nationals games this year. I am also hoping to watch online but I am not counting on it. Most likely I will be stuck listening to audio.

I also want to win this game badly. They are expecting a HUGE crowd and the Cubs and Astros both lost. These are the nights when you have to win.

Well I dont live very far from the ballpark and I seem like the only person that is not going to the game. Tv will have to do for now and I was kinda pumped for this game all day. Man does it feel good to win some close games.

Sadly, due to living in Illinois and having the economic curse of being a college student, I don't make it out to the park more than twice a year. So, I'll be sitting in front of my computer like every other game with Bob and Jim keeping me company.
