Does anyone know if the MLB.TV gets blacked out a lot? I don't have cable, but will have internet. Can you get all the Brewers games on mlb.tv?

edit: By the way where is my Stat Pack? I need my Stat Pack.

If you're outside the Milwaukee area (determined by the zip code you enter when you subscribe to MLB.TV), as I'm guessing you are, you'll be able to see all the games that are televised. Basically this means every game except the ones on national blackout (like some Saturday afternoons, thanks to Fox). It's split pretty evenly whether you end up seeing the Brewers broadcast or the other team's -- I haven't really been able to find much rhyme or reason to it.

I live in ******on, and I can only watch them On demand about 2 hours after the game is over. It's a real bummer, not being able to watch them live. But, I sure enjoyed going back and watching Weeks homerun last night, without having to suffer through the game live.

Hopefully Davis can put together a solid outing and the Brewers can win this one. That gives the Brewers a great shot at at least a split, with Sheets and Cappy to follow. I don't have a lot of faith in Cappy after his last outing, so I'd love to see the Crew take the next 2.

FYI mlb.TV determines where you are by your computers IP address. If you sign up as your zip code being in NYC or LA or if your credit card bill is sent to Florida, if you log onto the computer and have an IP address within the blackout zone you will not get the game.

So, you couldn't get the game live on mlb.tv last night. I live in Green Bay so obviously I am in the black out area. What percentage of the games are blacked out?

What was the reason last nights was blacked out?

Not a big computer guy.

Just use a proxy and no more blackout for you.

1) Is this legal?

2) How would one go about this?

1.) technically no, it is against your user agreement, but all they would probably do is cancel your account - but I cant promise they wouldnt do more. Also I dont know how easy it would be for them to detect.

2.) I have no idea.

Hopefully we seem a better and more exciting performance from Sharpie than we witnessed yesterday out of Vampire(it was night time, where were his wings?).

Well, I am almost positive that proxies aren't illegal, but they probably do go against the user agreement.

Anyways, if you want to try one... an easy one to use is:

kub.kz/kubar.htm

just type mlb.com in the field that is to the left of the "go" button and to the right of the thing that says Kubar at the top of the page.

I don't have mlb.tv so I have no idea if this will work.

Rydogg was pretty much right on with it. It would put you in breach of your user agreement, but I don't think it amounts to any level of fraud, and I doubt even if detected they would cancel your account before warning you first. They would have the right to cancel your account.

As long as you paid for the service, I can't see any possibility of any criminal actions or even them being able to get any money from you. Breaching a contract isn't a crime.

Taking a look at the lineups for tonights game makes one think that if we don't get it tonight we may not take a game in the series. No Edmonds and no Walker. We still have to get around Rolen and Pujols, but the lineup looks managable.

Sorry to go back to this but I thought I would ask. I tried that before and never thought of it again until you mentioned it. I ran into trouble with errors and java problems, and I could never even pick real player or windows media. So I get stuck one I try to click on a game at mlb.com. Any help out there so I could catch a couple extra brewer games.

Thanks
