Bob and Jim just explained that Ned wanted to give Jenks a full day off.

Yeah, because Jenkins was playing everyday during that three-day break we had a week ago. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

Not pitch hitting Jenkins was just plain stupid and bad managing. Not only was Magruder hitting .197 lefthanded, but Jenkins was 4 for 6 agaisnt Ray King and 4 for 12 agaisnt Tavarez. Even the Cardinals announcers could not believe that Jenkins or even Branyan didn't pitch hit.

Of course if Yost was worried about King against Jenkins, he still has Miller who you know hits righty. And he isn't pathetic which is Magruder batting LH. Its like that day at the All Star game got Yost to overplay platoon advantage as much as LaRussa does.

If we have a 8 million dollar right fielder who can't come in because : A) he needs a day off or B) a left would just come in then we need a new right fielder.

I would prefer to lose with our best players; it is disgusting to lose when your best, hottest, highest paid players (who, actually bat the opposite hand to the pitcher on the mound) are left on the bench

shame, ned, shame

hang your head in shame
