[ Lousy effort tonight is right. Bottali(stink)o will get some work in and hopefully pitch his way off of this team. Who else wants to see them hang a 5 or 6 spot on Ricky like I do? That would be quite refreshing cause he is horrible. ]

I would think that a Brewers fan would be interested in seeing Ricky raise his trade value, as his last outing was just fine.

When you start hoping Brewers play bad, it's time to turn off the TV and walk away for a night.

What we're seeing is a Red's offense that is really clicking. They are a much better offensive team than the Brewers. When the Brewers throw Ohka or Santos at the Reds, we're going to have to score a lot of runs to match the Reds. We can never count on the Brewers to score a lot of runs. Even against bad pitching. I have a feeling this is going to be a depressing series.

Maybe poor outings by Santos and Ohka will finally force the Brewers to try something different in the 4-5 spots in the order.

Going back to a comment Sheets4theHOF made way back in the first, yeah, Randa does have a smirk on his face and I think that bloop double that fell between Jenks, Weeks and O was the beginning of the end. Sometimes a play like that can defeat a team in funny ways. Ohka could have gotten out of the 2nd with no damage, and I know he gave up a lot of runs after that, but I think that got in his head.

Just for those of you who were wondering about the lighting issue and calling the game

CIN is the 3rd hottest batting team (.850 OPS) in the last 7 days going into this game. Like I said before the game, these guys are hot right now. Oh, and STL is 20th (.734), so we're feeling the pop in those bats.
