Holy crap! 26 pages!! After a night of drinking, cheering, and Gilles', that's an incredible sight. I haven't read through all the pages yet (I'll do that after this), so if I'm repeating things that were already said, I apologize.

What a heartening win tonight. I really had a bad feeling after the 3rd, when we kicked away two potential double play balls and let a run score, but the team really bounced back and played well after that. A couple of thoughts (again, I apologize if I'm repeating what others said):

-The ball Jenkins hit down the line in the 4th was a really tough call to make. From the upper deck it looked foul, but I wasn't super mad that they called the ball fair. I was really mad because it seemed like neither ump did a good job of getting in position to see it. They just sort of shrugged and said, "Ahh, what the hell, let's call it fair."

-I also thought the official scorer did a poor job tonight. I haven't seen either play on replay, but I thought the one where Hardy and Lee converged and the ball dropped should have been an error and that Weeks' shot that went under Clayton's glove should have been a hit.

-Matt Wise was awesome out of the pen tonight.

-Finally, I really like the Brewers playing Aerosmith's "Dream On" after wins. It seems to perfectly capture the mood around the Brewers right now. Dream on.....dream until the dream comes true!

EDIT: Finished reading all 26 pages.....Ralph already nominated this thread for WOAH SOLVDD status....I guess great minds think alike so I will second his nomination. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/pimp.gif

Man alive, best birthday since when I got the Hoth action playset in like 1983...

1. I help a lone beer-lady move a half-barrel into her cooler...she gives me a free Sprecher.

2. My wife tells a nearby camera-man that it's my b-day, he takes interest in my hat (EC Bears) and shirt (you know about that) and tells me he produced the EC DVD about Hank Aaron and wants to swap links.

3. Dana Eveland comes in to pitch.

4. I cross paths with a guy that was in Friday's that saw me on TV and buys me a gigantic beer.

5. The Brewers not only come back to tie, but win...big.

6. Eveland wins his first big-league game.

And that's just from about 8:00 on. Good day.

BTW, the shirt in question, to make a sale...

I was sitting right on top of the Diamondbacks dugout tonight. Amazing game. The Jenkins throw to third was one of the best thowing plays I've ever seen in person. Awesome.

Unspeakable idiot alert: there was a family of four sitting next to us completely decked out in Cubs gear. The Milwaukee Brewers are playing the Arizona Diamondbacks! God, it's almost like they have to declare to the world they aren't associated with the Brewers. Idiots! They left the game in the 5th inning. $300 to watch your rival play another team and have your bratty kid complain about getting cotton candy - great value. I hope the Brewers take that $300 and treat Matt Wise and his family to a nice dinner. Dude rocks.

rant>

Oh yeah, I was sitting there because it was my birthday and my wife rocks.

A couple of notes:

1) This game had that kinda sluggish feel to it from the very start that usually ends in bad things for the Crew. I think Nedly took one for the team to try and fire them up. I don't know if it did but they won so I like it.

2) Hardy shouldn't have been in left field that far. Carlos needs to get on his horse a little quicker. He had the ball and he knew it therefore he should have called JJ off. It could have been a lot worse.

3) When everyone was talking about trading Jenkins I really don't think we, I said we, took into account his D. That was a run he saved tonight with that throw.

4) Another Jenkins thought. We are all so quick to rid ourselves of players that we don't realize that we have one that wants to be here and has been a servicable player for some time. He is a home grown product that likes playing in Milwaukee. Besides Sheets can you name another?

5) The rally was great. Usually with those rallys they will get their run or two and leave it at that but not tonight. It was like a shark smelling blood piling it on. I loved every minute of it.

That is all, great game.

went to the game tonight. sat out in the left field bleachers. first thing i noticed was a very nice crowd for a tuesday evening... it's amazing to see how pumped up these fans are here in milwaukee.... it was like everyone was on the edge of their seats all night ready to explode into cheering... and it happened in that magical 7th inning... as i was at the game, i made the decision to purchase two tickets for tomorrows game. i will be there for the sweep. or so i hope greatly. this team is getting more and more exciting to watch, and i think people are catching on! go crew!

Mojo? That's cool, but unless the Brewers win 8-9 in a row, this thread has nothing to do with it.

Triple anti-mojo? I like it!

and it is not an embellishment on a theme

Musta missed that Haiku thread sitting there http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Great win last night, truly enjoyable. Also an enjoyable game thread.

Bucky, I think we're now 1-0 in games in Yosts managing helps us....oh wait he was ejected.

JUST KIDDING. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Yeah... I was following that inning... JJ put the Crew in the lead, Magruder with a sac fly, a ground-rule double.. then Weeks with a couple of RBI, Overbay and Lee then each chipped in with RBIs.

Lovely rally... just lovely.

I read this whole freaking thread this morning, just to see this comment - or something similar. So, thank you greeg. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Other than a couple of pot shots at Yost, he was left unscathed. I'm impressed. Of course, that could be due to the fact that some actually believe he wasn't managing after his ejection.

Since I've been a huge proponent of trading Jenkins for a bag of peanuts, I think it's only fair that I say... boy, he is fun to watch when he's hot. Another great play in the OF, and another big HR. Here's to July never ending.

I was at the game Tuesday night. Section 222, great seats.

Talk about bad karma, there was a guy sitting a few seats over wearing an Antoine Williamson game jersey.

I was co-linear with the RF foul line and the disputed by Jenkins was on the line when Clark picked it up.

The only downer was Hardy's GIDP in the eight with Wise on deck. Curious to see if Wise would continue on his 1.000 BA streak.
