How the heck do you let the game rest on Mcgruder's shoulders?!?!?!?!? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

Yep... I would've preferred to pinch hit for Sheets there. The upside is that I'm pretty confident Ben will keep them at 1 run, while you can't say the same about the pen. We'll see what happens when the Crew bats in the next two innings.

I'll say it again. What's teh point of having a dominating pitcher in if you don't score a single run? No pitcher can win with 0 runs. I would trade 2 innings of relief pitching to have a real hitter bat instead of Sheets.

Owell.

Ok I can't watch or listen to the game but let me see if I have this right....We have runners on 1st and 3rd with one out down 1-0 in the 7th inning and we let Sheets hit? He is the worst hitter in the majors followed by Magruder? All because Sheets is dealing? Who cares if he is dealing, if we lose 1-0. Larussa has completely psyched out Yost in this series and Yost can sit and say how they are the Cardinals...blah, blah, blah....look at the lineups for these 3 games and no way we should lose all 3. We have one inning to score cuz we won't hit izzy for sure.

How on earth was any of that the wrong thing to do? You would have what? Pulled Sheets? Had him hit away? What?

Great, so you bring Wes Helms in who maybe gets the run in. An uncertainty to begin with, then you have the ever dependable Brewer bullpen working in a tie game. Yippie. You like your chnaces of a win better in that scenario or letting Sheets continue to shut them down and take two more cracks at getting a run in?

Keeping Sheets in the game and staying out of the double play was absolutley the right call.

I love how nobody had any idea what to do before the Sheets move didn't work, but as soon as we failed to score a run, all the people on here make it seem obvious that Yost made the wrong call.

Really?? what about those of use who said PH for Sheets BEFORE Hardy was even walked?? Do we get any credit?? Of course not.
