That makes it an even 10 ER given up by our "ace". It's gonna be a long September.....I predict we'll barely finish above Pittsburgh for 5th place in the division.

 

That's just not because we are getting our butts kicked today...I just think the Cubs, with Nomar and Wood back will put some W's together, and the Reds are coming on strong and playing well as of late.

As I say, this team is just too much up and down, they are a walking mental case. Ben did not just forget how to pitch, he gave up. I dont say it in a bad way. I just say he had enough.

 

I really think this team needs to play each pitch one by one. But they are not mentally prepared for baseball. They are not tough at all.

 

I know, I know, 'tough' cannot be proven. But you know they dont have a price difference between rib eye and chuck steak for nothin. It does exist. I can see it!

How is that bum Lehr even in the majors? He has average stuff and hasn't done anything to impress me. I'm sick of these no name, good for nothing players sucking up roster spots (Durrington, Magruder, Helling, Lehr).

I wouldn't describe it as a lack of toughness. I actually think they are pretty tough, and I believe they showed that in Philadelphia and especially in New York. However, with the lone exception of Damien Miller that I can immediately think of, there is not a single player on the roster that has been a contributor on a major league team that has enjoyed any sort of success. Carlos Lee's White Sox teams were OK at times, but typically wilted big time against Minnesota - you know, when it counted..

 

These players just have no idea how to win consistently at this level, and you are exactly right when you say they have to take it pitch by pitch. If they do that, eventually they'lll figure it out, but a couple guys - leaders - who have won something should definitely be on Doug's shopping list this off season.

did this team play to the last out

 

did they try their best through thick and thin

 

did they give you any reason tonight to have any iota of pride being a brewer fan

 

heart does not exist... i agree... at least on this team

 

it starts from the top... ned what did you do to get a postive of of this game; what did you do
