It was sarcasm. Obviously Weeks is the best rookie on the Brewers.

As far as Weeks being "excellent," well I don't know about that. He's made a lot of errors. He strikes out a lot. Jeff Francouer for Atlanta has been "excellent". To me, Weeks has been somewhat of a disappointment so far. Maybe I was expecting too much from him.

Francouer can't take a walk to save his life. Weeks has excellent discipline and patience and works counts, and also has quite a bit of power. In regards to his errors, some of them are due to his range, which is outstanding. He's also going to K a lot, it's what power hitters do.

I was under the impression that Weeks was going to hit for a high average.

I'm sure Weeks will be just fine. Especially next year. He can get his thumb fixed and he'll be 100%.

If they screw up, it's fine to rip on them. They haven't screwed up in quite some time, and I'm pretty sure Fielder hasn't even had something I would deem as a "screw-up" since he came up. I understand your frustrations, though, as much as I think they are a little misguided, in terms of maybe a bias toward Prince and Rickie.

To expect Rickie to come in here and hit .300/.380/500 or something, isn't fair. He's a 22yr old rookie who is seeing these pitchers for the first time. I'd say I'm very happy with his performance thus far.

I was hoping for more contact from Weeks. Solid contact.

I thought he was one of those guys that can roll out of bed and go 3 for 4.

Plus, it's not like rookies haven't posted great numbers before. Remember, Weeks was the second pick in the draft. I think we should expect more from him than other prospects.

> Ugh. Take away 2 meat pitches and the Brewers win 2-1. <

Huh? Take away the 2 boneheaded errors and maybe it would have been 2-2 going to extras. Sigh. No way Andruw Jones was going to be denied today.

Can't wait til we get Cirillo back out at 3B...

"Just got back from the game...."

Sat next to the big Mountain Man we were talking about here a couple weeks ago in the club seats I go from Daron and Bill this past Spring. I could get used to that (the club seats, not the Mountain Man). Not much to say other than you could see that first Jones home run coming the way Cappy kept getting behind the count...I knew someone was gonna be serving up those fastballs eventually. Had a great time, I just wish the game had ended after the 2nd inning.
