Lyle does get a lot of bad throws and a lefty would have had an easier shot at it. I think Prince thought he was going to get it or he would have gone off of the bag. Should be interesting to watch along with the adjustments Prince makes on all the off speed low breaking balls he's going to see. Here's to hoping he adjusts quickly offensively and defensively.

It's supposed to be on FSN, but directv and dish screwed up last night as well. These are two games that were added to the schedule, but both of them are morons and don't have it on. Someone on here was successful calling Directv last night and it was on by the 3rd or 4th inning. I've never had any luck talking to those DMV workers.

while some mentioned Fielder's shortcomings at 1b, don't forget that Lyle turns a lot of outs into hits, and bad throws into errors.

We got spoiled having Richie Sexson here, as bad throws routinely were dug out for outs, and he picked nearly everything hit his way. It seems as though anything hit remotely hard at Lyle will be a hit, either cleanly or off his glove

Props to Drew Olsen for commenting on innings much like the one we just witnessed. The supposed "heart" of the order comes up with the 3-4-5 to only result in 3 K's and stranding the leadoff 2 on first and second base. Where's the execution of moving the runners over? This is what he meant when he compared the Brewers and Cardinals. If So Taguchi, Mark Grudzielanek, David Eckstein and company can do it, why shouldn't we expect Prince, Lee, or Jenkins to be able to? Horrible. This is what separates winning teams from losing teams.

Not moving the runners over to 2nd and 3rd is what seperates them? All three struck out, so those runners wouldn't have scored whether they were at 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd.

It had nothing to do with heart, it had everything to do with not driving in the runs. Is not getting a hit there caused by not having heart? I don't think so... even the best hitters are only going to get a hit there 1 out of 3 times.
