Ha right, it has everything to do with me saying that I hope we sweep and nothing to do with Suppan owning the Brewers. Give me a break (I'll even fix your spelling). http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

Well, for some perspective, if someone had said on Friday afternoon that the Brewers would take 2 of 3 from the Cardinals this weekend, how many of you would have scoffed?

Plus pogokat's prediction (beat STL for a third straight game and then lose out) sounded mighty plausible to me. Breweresque, if you will. This can be overcome.

I to am glad that we did take 2/3 from St. Louis, but it really is unreal that every single time we try for a sweep or try to get that win to go over 500 we do nothing. Flat out nothing, no runs and we get owned by a pitcher. It just really stinks. Lets just take care of business now against Cincy and Pitts.

Well, that was like watching a re-run of a bad movie. It was disappointing to have the leadoff guy reach base in 3-4 consecutive innings and do nothing with it. JJ looked real smooth in the field, and the double play on the squeeze attempt was cool too.

The 2nd inning roof leak was sort of amusing, although in defense of the park it was a total deluge outside. Cardinals fans were snapping pictures of the water pouring into the park with their digital cameras and cell phones.

Do you think DM could trade for Suppan this winter so we don't have to face him? We don't have to start him, just have him park cars next season...

That's funny. I just posted the same thing on Milwaukeebrewers.com.

Is Suppan a free agent?

2005 Outlook

The Cardinals could not have expected more out of Suppan than they received. Signed for another season with an option in 2006, he would appear to be set in the St. Louis rotation unless the club elects to shop him to save money for use somewhere else.

Unless they dump him, he will be killing the crew again next season.

I'm more than happy with the series against St. Louis. I was not expecting 2/3. Should be very reachable to hit .500 or higher if we show up..

I like these matchups much better than the Cardinal series. I could see winning the first 3, followed by a game 4 lack of offense. I'm predicting we leave for Pittsburgh at 80-79.

Mon Sept 26 Ramon Ortiz (9-11, 5.11) VS. Tomo Ohka (11-8, 3.93)

Tue Sept 27Brandon Claussen (10-9, 3.91) Rick Helling (2-1, 2.51)

Wed Sept 28 Aaron Harang (10-13, 3.79) Chris Capuano (18-10, 3.80)

Thu Sept 29 Eric Milton (8-14, 6.62) VS. Gary Glover (4-4, 6.47)

I agree that that's been a pattern lately; but if the Brewers can't get to Eric Milton, I'll be most disappointed (and not only because I will be in attendance on Thursday).
