Can we once and for all shelve the idea that giving 1 of 3 outs away somehow increases the chances of scoring a run, once and for all? History shows us it's just not true.

 

moving the runner from first to second doesnt score more runs? im sure this has been hashed out due to how this post was made....but this is a serious comment (pardon me if i missed any earlier conversations about this)...not trying to be rude...but why is second base considered scoring position and first base is not? i would think that you would have a better chance to score a runner from second with one out than with a runner on first with no outs.
