9/29/05 Reds (Milton) @ Crew (Glover) 1:05 CST

smbrewersfan15

Well it's the last home game of the year. It's the free admission game and the Brewers are at .500. So many tears. But only 185 days till opening day 2006!!!! Gary Glover takes to the mound for the Crew opposed by Reds lefty Eric Milton. I'll be there once again today. Tailgating will feel like Opening Day. Not much else I can say except Go Crew!! Game will be on FSN North today.

Reds SP:

Eric Milton - 8-14, 6.62 era

3-1, 3.94 era in 5 career games vs. Crew

Brewers SP:

Gary Glover - 4-4, 6.47 era

1-0, 3.38 era in 2 career games vs. Reds

Good ole Eric Milton. great example of what run support can do for you. Despite having a crappy 4.75 ERA last year, he had a nice 14-6 record. Of course he had the third highest run support last year, at 6.54 runs/game.

Can we please pound him so we don't need to sweep the Pirates for a winning record?

Here's hoping for another respectable outing for G-Love. He did it when I asked on Saturday (and I'm asking much more nicely now than when I was muttering under my breath last weekend).

Brewers, don't leave us like you did last night.

Hope to see some of you there.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Man this sucks. I wish I could be at the game. Oh well- I'm with you allin spirit.

Turns out my last game of the season was last wee against the Cards. Luckily, they were the best seats I've ever had. 2nd row right behing visitors on deck circle. thanks again Terry!

I'll watch on TV and listen to the radio.

GO BREWERS!

-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

just for informational purposes:

for those of us outside the FSN North viewing area, I called Directv last night during the game to let them know about the added game, thinking that giving them a head start on the angry calls may get the game on the schedule and broadcast in full (rather than them finally switching it on in the latter innings).

The supervisor that I talked to was quite confused at first, thinking that it was a makeup game from a previous rainout. I reiterated the situation again and again, and I think he understood by the time I did get off the phone. The supervisor said he'd do what he could.

As of an hour before the game, it's still not on the schedule. So I'll be calling again. I recommend others do this too, if they wish to see the game. Oh, I'll give them the heads up on Sunday's game, too, I suppose.
