From Adam McCalvy:

Left-hander Doug Davis loves to stick it to his former employer, and he will get another chance against the Texas Rangers when the Brewers travel to Surprise, Ariz., on Sunday afternoon. Davis is scheduled to throw two innings or 35 pitches, followed by Kane Davis, Jose Capellan, Dan Kolb, Jason Kershner and Matt Wise.

Yost said he planned to give Geoff Jenkins and Rickie Weeks a day off.

I'd definitely try not to hinge the trade's worth on this one spring training game, in which Kolb might be trying new things (old things?) with his mechanics to undo the debacle of last season.

My local Brewers affiliate isn't carrying the game if favor of some crappy ESPN college basketball talk show. MLB.com has the game beginning at 3 p.m. for soem reason. The surfernetwork is just playing those crappy commercials they do when a sporting event is on.

This sucks. I guess no brew crew for me this afternoon.

Gotcha. I still don't even think he's ready for AAA, I don't know if he's even ready for AA. He only hit .255/.314/.359 in A-ball. I hope they don't decide to rush him a level based on a smattering of AB's in spring training, because it could further screw up his development, which isn't going that well to begin with.

To be fair to Rivera, he hasn't even had a chance to fail in the big leagues. He's got a total of only 197 AB's. Chad Moeller has now proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that he can't hit a lick. I'd say for sure that Rivera has more power than Moeller.
