Link Report for Games of Monday, April 12th

MassBrew

Patrick,

Kloosterman reminded me a lot of Manny Parra in that he has pretty good control, fluid motion repeated the same time after time. The stat line wasn't pretty but as I mentioned in my report it was cold, really cold and he had to come out while the Snappers were scoring their 5 runs in the bottom of the first to warm up/stretch out. The first inning was a breeze for him. After that he was just missing a little high. The thing that got me was that he had 2 strikes on a lot of those players. Just missing the corners and not getting the calls is all. My theory is that the umps loosened up later in the game as the cold was getting to them too. Look at the boxscore and you'll see Durost had 5 ks, Grybash 4 and only one walk for both. I mean it seriously took like 2 hours for the first 4 innings or so. Pitchers sitting around getting stiff not only because of so many runs but also pitching changes.

Lend D Money,

Moss was more aggressive...he was actually swinging the bat and surprise was making contact. He was doing well until the injury.

Guilder had a bunt single (so did Truffles). Guilder actually ripped a couple good ones. Sprayed one into the gap in left center that scored a couple. I agree though he is a lot like Bibbs and Santana.

Palmisano....can't remember if he pulled any. His double was a heck of a shot to right center. I was surprised the centerfielder for Peoria was even in range of it. I agree he does hit a lot to opposite field. During bp I was roaming center and he jacked one out. Impressive as it was really windy and blowing to right.

Not sure if this is a bad sign or not but the Chiefs right fielder was playing very shallow and robbed us of a couple of hits. (Moss I believe was one of them). I should start a poll to see when and who will be the first Snapper player to hit a dong.

Madbad, the office staff has already started such a "pool"(I am going to assume no money involved)http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif and the pitchers were discussing the same topic on Saturday. One of them(will allow him to be anonymous) stated he would put the over/under at 13. I told him I would put it at 20, since I thought Lou was the only one who showed the ability to do so.
