Yep, decisions certainley will have to be made. Gamel is a plus hitter, Taylor is more well rounded and younger. We will see what happens. Of all the guys I dont represent Im a huge fan of Mat.

About Cain/Brantley/Ford, guys like cole, charlie fermaint etc... somebody will get traded id imagine. I dont worry about stats in Helena, the brewers had a kid a few years ago , Jason Belcher
2001 Total .326 .394 .410 .803 38 144 23 47 2 23 15 16 0

So as always, until a guy proves his worth at the higher levels, or at the very least SAL, I dont put too much stock into stats. I mean look at Taylor Green.

Just general questions:

RE: RHP Thomas Atlee, how did the signing with Milwaukee come about? Did Atlee pitch winter ball, or were the Brewers going strictly off their independent league scout recommendations? Perhaps a tryout camp?

Is there a database of agent representation that MLB clubs refer to in order to make contact with you about a client? Or did the Brewers simply tell Atlee to put you in touch with them once they were prepared to sign him?

Is your client list up-to-date? Atlee is listed on your testimonial page, but not on your client list.

Obviously your insights will have more importance as your top Brewer prospects hopefully blossom and become big leaguers, but info about these low-level signings is interesting as well as we learn about the process.

Atlee had a tryout with the brewers in Texas a few weeks ago, he threw well in front of a few people that mattered and then he signed a contract with the team. We've had Thomas forever, he was one of our first guys. Client list needs some tweaking because a few guys have left us or have retired. No database of agent representation, usually the team contacts the player or if they know the agent, just calls them. We haver a good relationship with Mil so this wasnt a real big surprise.

Keep you all posted

Latest blog entry includes the following:

Most importantly however I got to see Luis Pena close ofF the Dbacks in person today. Wouldn't be right for me to copy and paste the rest, but it's a nice paragraph, check it out.

Luis will find a rightful place on the Power 50 again come April 1st, and Brian Anderson and Kent Sommerfield were discussing his omission from the Baseball America / Tom Haudricourt Top 10 Brewer list as he pitched on Thursday. I did chuckle when Kent said that Tom had seen as many minor league games as they had in recent years. Tom did visit Huntsville a few years back for the Fielder / Weeks season and filed reports, but there is some truth to Kent's comment. I do imagine Tom spends more time around minor league camp than Bill this time of year, however.

"He has been in the minors for 7 years, been hurt, and experienced every kind of professional struggle you can think of... I work in a cynical business but days like today make it worth it."

Really cool - good stuff, agent39. Obviously everyone here wishes Luismar the best - and hope that he can help the Brewers as soon as possible!

Yeah I like the blog too. It is nice to see sports from a different perspective, one fans typically don't get to see. I especially liked the story about you running into your ex-client. It was interesting to see how invested you are in your clients, and how personal you take things.

I find the insights interesting, and it appears that it's a good release of sorts for you. If you enjoy it, by all means keep blogging away, I'll keep reading.

This might be a bit beyond your experience, but you should set up an RSS Feed (syndication). I believe Blogger should be able to let you setup an RSS feed, so that way people can subscribe to your blog and you won't have to always let people know when you update.
