From espn.com

Sleeper alert!

Chris Dennis, OF, Mariners (Low-A Wisconsin)

Tuesday's stats: 2-for-4, 2B, 2 K

A 13th-round pick in 2007 out of Canada, Dennis is a compactly built power hitter that comes with the rawness generally associated with those north of the border who simply don't get as much experience as those from warmer-weather climates. He missed the first six weeks of the year recovering from a nasty ankle sprain, but has been generating a lot of interest since showing up in the Midwest League, batting .407/.471/.763 in 17 games. With 16 strikeouts in 59 at-bats, a batting average like that is totally unsustainable, but scouts think the power -- which includes four home runs and now nine doubles -- is pretty darn real.

Alex Periard is headed to wisconsin tomorrow
Cool, great to see him back. I'll have to get to one of his starts before he gets moved up.

I wasn't sure how you would feel about it but I was going to drop a sympathy post in here for you... this has to be a trying year with all of the injuries, some guys under performing expectations, and now the suspension.

The good news is that at least things only have 1 way to go.

Brewer Fanatic Staff

Josh, what can you tell us about Brent Brewer playing third base as of late? Are they just developing some flexibility? Is he excited about it? You had been adamant that Brewer was going to stick at short in prior comments here with us.

Offensively, I imagine Brent is a bit disappointed and is working hard to turn it around.

For everyone's reference, Brewer's line is .218 / .278 / .299 (.577 OPS), with 69 K's in 211 AB's.

I saw that, I was following him on the net. After a horrible April he got better each month and ended up with a pretty decent line.

Busy 40 man day for me so I thought Id revive this. Cain was added to the 40 man for me this week obviously, but in addition to that we had Philippe Valiquette, Trayvon Robinson,Josh Bell, and Kenley Jansen added to the 40 man this week. Will have some decent updates this week soon.

Trying to set up interviews with Cain and Jeffress for everyone.

Darren Ford added to the 40 man
Really? Great for Darren! I haven't kept up with him since the trade but he was one of my favorite prospect before he got traded.

When will Jeffress's suspension be over? I hope he comes back strong, head screwed on straight and hopefully stays clean at least until he reaches the majors.

or at the very least until he is added to the 40-man roster. My hope is that for his own well being he would stay clean for the rest of his life. I wouldn't count on it though. I am not one of the people that thinks marajuana will ruin a person's life. Timing is everything. If he had run into this problem of getting caught, say when he won an Cy Young award, no big deal.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.
