Autograph Fridays?

aracko

My daughter bought me a ticket for myself and herself for tonights game. She is 9 years old and wants to possibly catch a ball (most likely BP) and possibly get an autograph. Can anyone tell me the best way to get an Autograph?

Your help is appreciated. I dont get to many games anymore cause of my full house.

Well tonight is autograph Friday of course, so getting there early and getting in another line will be your safest bet. (BTW, "early" means in line by 5, gates open at 5:30. The "good" players lines will fill up withing 60 seconds. If she doesn't care who see get an auto from, than just get in line for one of the coaches. You'll get an auto plus you might have time to go back and try to get another "lesser" player).

If you don't feel like spending an hour plus in lines, keep in mind that shortly before the game (after BP, usually when the players come back out to stretch) several Brewers will sign for a few minutes down the RF line. Get her down to the front row near sections 109 -111. Someone will sign for her.

As for getting a ball, I asked my son for some tips as he has over 30 balls already. He says "Shout, shout , shout" & "don't be rude".

He has great success in the RF bleachers, of course he's very loud ("can I please have a ball!!!"). Camping out near the dugout (either side) rarely nets him a ball. Don't wait to catch a ball, get the attention of a player and have her ask for one. Seriously, see needs get a player to notice her. Wave her arms, call players be name - generally be loud (but not obnoxious). Once a player makes eye contact, he might make the "I see ya, I'll get you a ball" gesture (if that makes any sense)?

He'll be there tonight, I'd be surprised if he didn't come home with at least one ball. He has got at least one ball at each game he's been to this year.

I hope this helps, I'm typing away like crazy because I'm on my way out but I wanted to help.

20fry, you can't do this anymore, it sucks. It makes sense though, the season ticket holders were complaining because they couldn't get to their seats, so now you get kicked out of there a half hour before game time unless you have a ticket for that seat, it blows, but it makes sense I understand it, just don't like it, so don't try that, because they won't be out by then, the usher said that they made that rule about a week and a half ago.

Anyway, here is the schedule/lineup for autograph friday's if you need it:

110/111 Ed Seder

111/112 Kevin Mench

114/115 "Crap" Counsell

115/116 Francisco Cordero "HUGE LINE"

119/120 Bill Hall "HUGE LINE"

120/121 Claudio Vargas

123/124 Jose Capellan

124/125 Ryan Braun "HUGE LINE"

hopefully that helps.

Really? That does suck. The last game I brought the kid to was during the last homestand (Florida) and Jenks, Prince & Cappy were signing down there.

Thats to bad. I'll have to check it out myself. It doesn't surprise me though. I've had tickets in the first row and had to deal with everyone wanting to stand there. I didn't think it was a big deal because I knew that once the game started they would be gone.

So, how'd it go.I hope you guys had a good time.

My son got two balls. Sheets spotted him shortly after we arrived and tossed him a ball. A little later Brian Shouse threw him a ball, which landed short and bounce back into the field. About 5 minutes later Brian came over towards us and gave him a ball. We each got Ryan Braun autos.

20fry, did you even try to get autographs down the right field line? I didn't and I thought I saw that they kicked everyone out again.

You know what, I didn't even think to take him over there. Completely forgot about it. He was stoked to get Braun again. We watched the Royals take BP and went to our seats. We'll be there again tomorrow, I'll pay attention this time.

The Brewers website, under "Fan Forum" then click "Autograph Schedule" on the left side. The section won't be posted until a few hours before the signings. You can call the Brewers on the day of and ask, they usually have the exact section for each player.
