2004 Brewerfan Fanfest

The fanfest page is now up at:

www.brewerfan.net/events/2004_fanfest.jsp

The schedule gods aren't smiling as much as they did last year. Here is the best date combination I have found so far:

April 24 - St. Louis @ Milwaukee 1:05

April 25 - Wisconsin @ Beloit 2:00

For those of you who aren't familiar, tradition has us taking in a Brewers game on Saturday, driving down to Beloit after the game and having a few drinks, and then watching Beloit on Sunday afternoon with a catered picnic (beer included as well as soft drinks and food).

Having fanfest this early leads us to the problem of it perhaps being a bit chilly. The advantage to having fanfest earlier in the summer as opposed to later is:

- There are no Saturday day games in Milwaukee as we get deeper into the season

- The Beloit ticket price comes down $1 a person for April and May.

Thoughts?

I am cool with that date. We really are just as likely to have good or bad weather in April as we are in May. We're not really in the clear until mid-June. And since 9 out of 10 opening days are miserable, I'm ready to stand against whatever mother nature has to throw at us.

Is it necessary to have the Saturday Brewers game during the day? I know the trek down to Beloit is part of the fun for a few of us, but a night game at MP on a Saturday might be an even bigger draw.

Just a thought. Otherwise, April 24-25 will be pencilled into my calendar.

Brewer Fan Guys: There is about a 40% chance that I can go meet you all in April, (I now live in rural Nevada). My wife Cathy, and my one year old son Cooper WILL be making a trip to Milwaukee next year. Hopefully in the Spring.

I'd like the chance to meet you all and the creators of this GREAT website!

ATTENTION:

The fanfest page is now up at:

www.brewerfan.net/events/...anfest.jsp

For the newer people, the only thing you pay for in advance are the Beloit tickets. There's a link to pay online via credit card. Contact me at webmaster@brewerfan.net if you wish to pay by other means.

Please purchase your tickets as soon as possible. The money needs to be turned into the Snappers ticket office a couple of weeks before the event.

Also, if you plan on attending the Brewers game, let me know, so I can add your name to the roster (along with the number of guests you wish to bring)

Thanks!!

I highly recommend going as it's a great time and a chance to put some faces with the screen names. Even if you're just a lurker come out and have a good time. All you can eat or drink & Snappers baseball....can't pass that up.

Also keep in mind that you don't HAVE to attend both. Just coming down to Beloit on Sunday or meeting at the Keg on Saturday is just fine as well.

Well in a small bit of good news I'm going to be able to make the Snappers game, guess I won't get to see everyone, but I am bringing 6 people!

EDIT: Hey come on folks less than a month away sign up there's so many reasons to actually see both teams this year and you get to enjoy all our wacky company

Yikes!

I won't be able to make it to the FanFest this year either. I mean, I will be at the game Tailgating on the 24th, but......

It will be with family from out-of-state. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Maybe I'll see some of you entering or inside the park during the game. Hope you all have a great time.

I've got a couple of questions.

Where does everyone meet at for both events?

Does everyone just tailgate at Miller Park and then buy seperate tickets to the game, or do you pool the money ahead of time and buy tickets in the same section?

Just asking because I noticed the Beloit game you have too pay in advance, but didn't see any advanced pay for the Brew game.

Not sure yet if I can make the Brew game but should be able to make the Snappers.
