Brewer Fanatic

How did you find us?

I turned left out of my driveway, right at the next corner, cut across the freeway, turned on to the on-ramp and whizzed all the way in to Miller Park Way.

Oh, you meant the website... hmmm... well, I've been following brewerfan.net for some time now, and I've been an ezboard member for what seems like forever.

FYI: I've been a Brewer fan since 1978 (which is when I went to my first baseball game - a night game vs. Boston which was delayed a few times by rain before my dad took me home). Through thick and (a lot of) thin, the Brew Crew have been my favorite team.

Unfortunately, most of my family was made up of Cub fans. This wasn't much of a problem - until 1998. Then, it was a no brainer. I still get funny looks at family reunions, though, when I'm the only sane one wearing a Brewers cap.

Keep up the good work, guys - the redesigned website looks AWESOME!

I was active in the AOL boards with several others, but then AOL started messing with their powers/rights and really took away a solid board. I'd heard of brewerfan.net from Powell since it was founded, and decided to switch on over when I realized that there were so many other fanatics like me. I think I began here back in 1999, because I'm pretty sure the Vina-Belliard debates were raging

I think DHonks has missed that "Est. 2001" heading at the top of every Brewerfan page http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ...

that confused me Mass (and yes, I did miss it) but the way I remembered it was that there was much debate here when we dealt him, which was I believe in 2000. So I did think about that, but it threw me off. I could be way off though. Maybe we were still discussing the Vina-Belliard issue long after Vina was dealtb

In late 1999, early 2000 I was in a Brewer Fan group that was an AOL / CBS Sportsline Club, (Alot of you were there also. Madbad was there.) We used to have on line chats on Tuesdays I think. When CBS Sportsline got rid of the clubs alot of the guys went to Brewer Fan and so did I. Now that I have more time I come here dailey.

I used to post on the OnMilwaukee.com message boards with Gregg Hoffmann. Since there was so little activity there, I figured there must be some place where Brewer fans chat.

I think it was a google search that finally led me to Brewerfan(.com/.net).

I found it through Toby's Power 50, which I found through a google search for "Brewers Prospects". I didn't come here much (and never posted) at that time. At around the same time, I was reading a blog called "the Daily Brew" by Bill Batterman, which I found because some other blog (not sure which) had linked to it. Then Bill was absorbed by brewerfan, so I started checking this site out more often. I eventually started browsing the Fan Forum. I posted a few times under a different name, then I got a new, boring, computer-using job (and forgot my old password) so I registered as JoeHova and started passing the time by posting (which works well, btw).
