WISH LIST

I second that.

I unsecond that. I think there are more than enough ways for the posters to recognize a good post than to set up Brewerfan for possible hard feelings if they get into popularity contests. If you like a post let it be known and rank it. Most people (without real jobs and lives http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ) see most of the posts so they don't need to be taken in hand and walked to a specific topic/post. Just my $0.015.

You might as well call it the RoberR award and then ban him from winning the award so the rest of us get a chance.

Yeah let's tar and feather the bastard while we're at it! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Is that Robber or Robert?

Ok then how about we vote one person off the board each week for the worst post! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Just Kidding I wouldn't last 2 weeks!

Colby and Brian could just pick the winner I like that. I don't think people would be upset about not winning but I could see everyone who lost going out of their way to blast the post that won and prove how much smarter they are.

I see no point in awarding people for their good thoughts. If you like a certain post you can always assign the thread some stars if you like. Or just reply and/or private message the person & tell them how much you liked their post(s).

TeamOneBaseball used to have a post or thought of the week feature on their homepage and it was just hokey.

And I want to part in the selection process.

Since you're planning modifications to the code, it'd be a good time to make sure all images have an "alt" attribute. Today, when the images went away, that would have ensured that the links would have still been useful. It's a good accessibility idea, anyway.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Recommendation: Create a store to monitise your site, so people like me who can't donate, but would like to send you some love, can do online shopping through your site.

Look at:

linkshare and

commision junction for merchants that you can represent. For instance you can earn 5% commisions on anything that I buy at walmart.com if you were an affiliate of LinkShare.

i know, double post...but i want to make sure this gets read:

Hey, i still want some kind of headline on the sight...

i know when picks get signed they get a little baseball card...but what about other newsworthy events???

i know the dailybrew is supposed to cover these, but it isnt really daily...so it doesnt fit the job...

i think we need some kind of headline that covers major events, like Jenkins' injuries and Paul Molitor's induction...

of course, having an article with these would be excellent, or maybe even a link to coverage elsewhere, at the least, just the headline and a brief summary of what happened

I hate having to go to other sights to get info, and i really wish that the front page didn't ignore important brewers events...

if this is alot of work, ignore me...but i still think it would be great

I think it would be cool if we could have some kind of "official" weekly poll on the main page....kinda like what the milwaukeebrewers home page has.

polls are fun, adn having an official one might cut back on the insanity a million unofficial polls can inspire

really, everytime i read the poll on the official site, i just want to repost it on brewerfan to see how differently we would vote than those who just go to the official site...hehe

Pogo,

Just so you know, the news headline thing is in progress, and a poll on the site sounds like a good idea. That shouldn't be hard to implement. Patrick's working on an upgrade on the site design, I think, so we would probably implement them after that happens.
