Brewer Fan dot Net Keeps my Spirits Up!

As some of you may know I've been sick and on a medical leave from my job for over five weeks now. (We know I have nerve damage in my legs but are not sure about the problems with my hands and arms. I see a new back doctor tommorro to see if it's a disk problem) Anyway, reading this site and posting here makes me happy.

Being out here in rural Nevada there aren't many (if any) other Brewer Fans to discuss the team with. Thanks to you guys I can do it right here without leaving my favorite chair in my house.

I want you guys all to know that You ARE Apreciated!!!

Thanks for Making, Maintaing, and Keeping On-Line Brewer Fan dot Net!!!

I saw a new doctor on Friday and I got my answer. Two disks in my neck (I knew about them) are causing the pain in my left arm. My right arm has been compensating for a long time and that's it's hurting, (My left arm and leg are far worse than the right). Four disks in my lower back are causing lack of strengh and muscle loss in my left leg. Right leg problems caused by compansating.

So started new medications. New Tuesday, (Oct 12th) I get injestions into the disks of my neck. Then two more times I get injections into the disks of my bask.

So that's the shot version of this story. But at least it's not ALS or MS or something eles bad. And in a couple of months I'll get to feeling better and I'm hoping to be back to work in January.

Thank Yoy ALL for you thought and prayers!!!

Cortizone? I had to get shot up with that stuff for awhile. It helps a lot for a brief period of time, then the problems came back for me. A neck problem won't be cured the same way, but my back injury never improved as much as it did when I dropped a lot of weight. Spinal problems are a B-----, I hope they get you fixed up.

Not to bring you down Nbo, but the injections never did anything for me either. I ended up going through two series of 4 shots, and none of them ever did anything. After 2 years of dealing with (at times) crippling pain, they finally fused 3 of the disks for me and I've never been happier.

I do have enough faith in modern medicine that they'll get you what you need though.

Had a disk herniated in my lower back about 8 years ago. The worst pain I ever had but bo it sure felt better after the Discetomy.

The shots didn't do much for me either, but they do for some. Good luck man. Back and neck pain is tough.

Mothershipconnection, it's not cordizone. I am not having cotizone shot into a disk. Too many bad stories I've heard.

It's somekind of seroid, goes right into the park of this disks that are injured. My neighbor goes to the same doctor and had the same treatment done. If feels alot better.

But I'm not kidding myself. Through all the medical stuff that I've gone through the past three years and today may-be the worst day yet. I'm realistic, I know surgery in my future (which I don't want) is a HUGE possibility.
