Flex scheduling in second half

There may already be a thread on this. If so, I apologize. I glanced through a few pages and didn't see anything, admittedly not looking thoroughly.

Anyway, I'm wondering what, if any, games you guys think might be flexed to different time slots to accomodate TV.

We already know that the July 21 San Francisco game was moved to 2:55pm to be on FOX.

If FOX (Saturday) or ESPN (Sunday) want more Brewer games, I would think they'd look at the Philly series the first series of August, the return trip to San Francisco later in August, and series against San Diego and Atlanta in September.

Anyone hear anything? Thoughts?

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

I know FOX waits until at least the middle of September to fill their last two weekends. The only way the Saturday game vs. the Padres isn't picked up is if both teams have run away with their divisions by then.

It looks like ESPN has picked up a game against Atlanta in September. The Mon. August 20th game against Arizona is also a possibility. I really think that any Saturday game stands a chance of being picked up if the Crew maintains any sort of 1st place lead.

I would look for the game on Sunday, August 5 against Philly to be moved to Sunday night. The Mets-Cubs play that weekend, too, but both of those teams are nearing the limit for appearing on ESPN/FOX. That's Chris Capuano bobblehead day, so I'd expect a ton of complaining from ticketholders http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Is there really a limit? Because you'd think ESPN would have filled its quota for NYY and BOS some time ago.

If a change were to be made, is there a minimum advance notice? August 5 happens to be the annual "hawing's nephew at the ballpark day" and having him stay up until a 7:05PM game is over might be a deal breaker. (And we've been looking forward to the Cappy bobble because nephew is also a lefty.)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

The limit for FOX is nine appearances per season. That's why when FOX picked up the Brewers/Cubs game, they had to drop a Cubs/Cardinals game later in the season, since the Cubs were already at nine scheduled appearances.

The limit for Sunday Night Baseball is five times per season. So far the Mets have had three appearances, while the Cubs have had one.

Since it's August, the minimum advance notice is two weeks. ESPN has to pick the April and May Sunday night games before the season starts. Then for June and July, they must select games a minimum three weeks before the date, and for August and September, it's two weeks. Besides Mets/Cubs, that weekend also has Angels/A's and Indians/Twins, which are possibilites as well.
