java on bf.net?

Does Brewerfan.net or ezboard use java?

I just got a new computer and it seems I have got some trojan which I can find almost no info about. It seems to trigger every time I come to this website or maybe the ezboard forum. McAffee detects a w.exe virus in a file called asdf.exe (which seems to reappear every time I delete it). I also noticed java had started, for what I don't know.

Just curious.

Ok, this is kind of hard to explain. There are different kinds of java. Server-side Java, and client-side Java (******s). Brewerfan.net (the main site) is built in server-side Java. The Brewerfan.net chat room is an ******, written in Java. ******s are what most people think of when they think of Java (programs that run in your browser).

EZBoard is actually written in SmallTalk on the server side. They don't use any client-side Java or any things of that nature that should trigger anything weired in McAffee or whatever.

The only page that your virus scanner MIGHT care about would be our chat page.

So, in a nusthell, I have no idea why your virus scanner is freaking out.

It's official, the only time McAfee detects the problem is when I come to the Brewerfan.net homepage. It sounds like something got in my java?? Nobody else seems to be having a problem so, I must be cursed.

Thanks for the responses though!
