Fanfest 2006, T-Shirts?

For Fanfest this year, we're looking to create fanfest t-shirts so that we can have something for everyone to take home, and hopefully get a little on-camera action this year at the game. We're thinking about putting this in a package along with game ticket & food (& beer), so that we can get the shirts from a screen printer to keep the cost down (and not go through Cafepress.com as we are now for one-off merchandise sales, as that tends to be more expensive).

Is there a cost threshhold that people would NOT be interested in paying to get a t-shirt as part of the package? How much is too much, $10, $12, $15?

If people who are thinking of attending can weigh in as soon as possible on this questions, it would help us greatly to keep the cost down this year, as we kinda got burned last year.

If the T-shirts feature graphics by Colbyjack, they're all but priceless. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

No, really, I'll start the bidding and suggest $20 as the most I'd pay for the T-shirt component. $10-$15 seems more ideal.

As long as they don't say "Brewerfan.net drinking team." Then you'd lose me.

I know Heather and I would pay anything reasonable for the shirts+seats+food package so it doesn't matter from that stand point, however..... if we were to invite some people who don't know about this site yet, I don't think they would be to crazy about spending extra on the shirt. Maybe offer two packages unless you think it would cause to many problems.

I have to admit that the T-shirt idea is my brainchild. We were thinking of offering 25 ticket/food/tshirt packages, for mainly the purpose of getting us all on TV...like we so richly deserve. I'm planning on calling the ticket office tomorrow to get a 5 seat by 5 row block, in which hopefully everyone would have the same shirt. I think that if you have members of your group that don't want the t-shirt, we can choose a section that is fairly empty. If those of you in that situation wanted to, we could seat you in the top row, the bottom row, or right on the side of the block. That way the non-Tshirt wearers could sit next to or behind you without breaking up the T-shirt awesomeness.

With this ticket package, we'd be getting brewerfan.net on the scoreboard too. I'm all stoked about the publicity. I was also considering making signs for y'all to hold (if you want). One 8-1/2" X 11" letter apiece.

Of course...I'll take signage suggestions... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

If we spell out BREWERFAN.NET, I call the dot.

Or we could each hold a word from one of last year's haikus. My favorite was

You just have to know

Jim Powell is reading this

And thinks we are dorks.

This is awesomeness, Nicole. I was thinking (as Jamie started making a tentative count) that we need to reach 25 participants so we can get a mention. You and Jamie are the publicity juggernauts.

Nicole,

The middle school that I did my student teaching at is currently running a printing business. We got t-shirts made with our names and hockey logos, etc. and they cost $7 each. I think the colors available are white, gray, and black (I would have to double check that to be totally certain). We would have to get the information to them ASAP to have them printed before the end of the school year though and to get any t-shirts ordered that they might not have stock in - like XXXL and small youth sizes. I could contact the teacher to see what she has in stock and if they could make us at least 25 of them. This is a recurring business also. The Small Business for Teens class runs the school printing shop every year if you want to do this again next year.

Let me know!

Hi Jeanette! I can't wait to see you guys again this year! Hopefully I'll have things more organized than last year so we have time to chit chat.

As far as the t-shirts...I've deferred that project to Patrick, as he has a lot more experience with that than I do. It all sounds good to me, but I'm going to let him weigh in here.

Sounds good Nicole. Can't wait to see ya'll again also. The kids are excited about getting to Milwaukee again for a ballgame. Let me know if you need anything or need any help. We are in a better situation than we were last year and we might be able to swing an overnight stay or two if you need a few extra set of hands.

Patrick, if you don't have anything planned for t-shirts yet or are looking at options and to look into this further, let me know. I can give you as much information as you need. And if I don't know the answer, I know someone who does. :-)

Jeanette, thanks for that option. I'm not sure if it will work from a timing standpoint, but I hope to have a design done by the end of the weekend. I guess what we would be looking for is about 25-35 t-shirts (Nicole can confirm quantity better than I can) in sizes (I'm guessing) from M to 2XL. It would be a 2-sided shirt, with as few as one print color per side and as many as 4. If you're able to get pricing options in the meantime that would probably help, otherwise if you need the artwork before the middle of May I probably will investigate other printing options.

Has June 17th been officially set as the date? I may be back by then, but won't know until late may as I'm up in the air regarding whether or not I will work summer school until June 30 or be returning to WI on June 10.

If I do make it, $12-15 would be fine for a shirt, but I agree that it may scare off some people's friends (not an issue with me, I'd come alone).
