MLB sells BAMtech to Disney, each team to receive 30 million

Seems like that money would buy us a nice reliever or decent starter if we trade Woody/Burnes. Mark A has always seemed like he has put money like this back into the team. However if every team gets the money it would make sense for mid tier free agents to get way overpaid and we stay away.

Since every team is getting this money it's not going to help any particular team. It's just going to raise everyone's price.

Um, it will help the Brewers. We won’t be going wild in FA any way. It would pay for half of our arby raises. And who says prices are going up? Isn’t it a trend to pay less for middling FAs?

Brings up a good question.  Why do players and fans feel they deserve this money?  The owners are the ones who take the risks not anyone else.

Owning a professional sports team is quite possibly the least risky thing any of these pampered billionaire owners ever partake in. Especially in Major League Baseball. A guy like Bob Nutting can own a miserable franchise for years and years, never spend on payroll, and rake in big time profits even with bottom of the barrel attendance.

This kind of worship and admiration for billionaires is always mind-boggling to me, but especially when it's for owners of MLB teams.

I think asking the question and worshipping billionaires are two different things entirely. I think you are making some value inferences as to the OPs way of thinking that frankly aren't really supported by the facts as they exist.

I'm as pro player as exists but BAMtech has literally nothing to do with the game and I think the owners are well within their rights to treat it as separate, unrelated income. I'm not saying it makes me feel warm and fuzzy but rich people get access to sweetheart deals that us regular folks will never see on a daily basis. I hope Mark allocates some into the budget but I won't be as harsh as I would with something like profit sharing from large market teams.
